So you finally purchased World of Warcraft. Here are 9 quick tips to make the leveling process quick and easy.

1. Know Your Class – Each class has strengths and weaknesses when it comes to leveling. For instance, priests are great healers and while they can DPS (do damage) they are best played with a group. Hunters on the other hand are a great solo class. Just remember to pick a class that fits your play style. Classes such as Warriors, Hunters, and Paladins are great for those who like to solo, while mages and priests are better with groups. That’s not to say you can’t solo with a mage or priest, its just easier doing it with a group of friends.

2. Always Carry Supplies With You – Make sure you always have a few potions or food and water on you in case you get in a tough spot. Having food and water on hand will decrease the amount of time you have to wait for your health and mana to regenerate between fights.

3. When In Trouble Group Up – Having trouble on a certain quest or a quest that requires a group to complete? Group up with your fellow players. There are always people playing WoW who are willing to help even at low levels. Send a message to all the players in your questing zone and ask them if they want to group up for a specific quest. 9 times out of 10 you’ll get a group put together.

4. Do Dungeon Runs – Now that WoW has a dungeon finder tool, it is possible to level most of the game entirely by completing dungeons. Plus dungeons are a good way to start learning how the end game content will play plus you can get good gear and XP out of them.

5. Play PvP – At level 10 you can start playing PvP. Completing PvP matches will help you gain XP to level faster plus you’ll receive honor points that you can exchange for new gear. You will get matched with players in 10 level increments so if you start at level 10 the highest player you will face will be level 19. I always wait till I get to around level 16 or 17 that way you’ll have more abilities to use and you can beat up on the lower level characters that join.

6. Join a Guild – There are plenty of guilds that are strictly leveling guilds. Finding a good group of people to play with can make your leveling experience go even smoother. Plus you can earn guild XP and perks which range from earning more reputation in dungeons to leveling you profession skills faster.

7. Pick Gold Making Professions – Some professions work better at lower levels than others. Gathering professions for instance can make you tons of gold whether your low level or high level, but Jewelcrafting only starts making really good gold after you level it all the way. I would recommend picking a combination of two gathering professions out of mining, skinning, or herbalism.

8. Pick Up a Leveling Guide – There are a couple of good premium leveling guides out there. You can check out our reviews for Zygor’s Guide and Dugi’s Guide. These in-game guides will guide you along the quickest leveling path to 85. If you want to get to the endgame dungeons and raids fast, these guides will get you there.

9. Have Fun – World of Warcraft is just a game after all. Enjoy it.
